It seems like yes, they were probably running more fuel :f1isgood wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 16:19I think they are running more fuel. See the high speed losses. That's purely fuel. Engine modes seem similar. Ferrari/Red Bull are running less fuel.organic wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 14:32Norris' long run at the end of FP1 was bad, just looking at the laptimes. started in the low 1.20s and was doing high 1.20s towards the end. Leclerc just about stayed in the 1.19s. Max was driving to a 1.19.5 delta but had fresher tyres than the other two
Even if it comes up that McLaren were dropping engine mode (when have they been doing that this year?) they still had lots of deg on that soft run. Must be hiding pace unless they've completely got the setup wrong
Red Bull don't run low fuel in race sims.f1isgood wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 16:19I think they are running more fuel. See the high speed losses. That's purely fuel. Engine modes seem similar. Then I am not sure why they lose so much through high-speed. Emag also points out exactly what I thought was happening. We will see. Maybe McLaren have a deg issue potentially (It's FP1 though) but not a pace issue.AR3-GP wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 16:43Red Bull don't run low fuel in race sims.f1isgood wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 16:19I think they are running more fuel. I honestly put him in the same category of talent as Kimi. Kimi was slightly more hyped coming into F2 but Lindblad has been better whilst there. RB's driver academy has come back to life with Hadjar and Lindblad.
Exactly.f1isgood wrote: ↑30 May 2025, 16:52I think Hadjar has been more impressive than Kimi, and Lindblad might have more potential than both. Kimi probably has more room to grow but I think Hadjar's season so far with basically no testing is much more impressive compared to Kimi who drove 9000 kilometers.
