Well they didn't change the rear wing.

I believe this is the high downforce wing

This is the lower one which I believe they are running today

They don't seem to have changed the wing, but yeah Lando's lap is really impressive. Those were used softs in the first lap where had that snap/bottoming in T9. Then made an adjustment, went out on the same tire which was even more used and it's still under 1.13

Really really strong pace at the moment.

It says on the F1 app that Norris’ bodged first soft run was on a new tyre?

I hope your information is right though

This is Lando going out on his first run (the one with the botched T9) :

Those don't look like new Softs to me. Doesn't make sense for Lando to be 2 tenths down on Oscar in S1 as well if they were both on brand new softs. Lando only managed a 21.6 S1 while Oscar did a 21.4

They certainly don’t look new.
So are we thinking he’s used a set of softs from yesterday and Lando will carry an extra new set into quali?

Lando was on new softs when he made the mistake. I checked the onboard.

Insane pace regardless.

Maybe misstimed photo then. But yeah, Lando needs to put it together for quali then. Because 2 tenths off Oscar in S1 isn't going to cut it.

If they are 1-2 I really don't care :D

Qualy is important but being ahead of Max after turn 1 tomorrow is the most important.
If anything I'd rather start p2 here.

And as ever I'd always believe that in a straight fight(let's say we are p1, p2) lando has better race pace and will beat oscar more aften than not especially in high temps.

As per all season, practice doesn't mean much. It will get tighter. I think Max has time in hand, and the Mercedes aswell.

7 tenths is quite a big gap to be explained by engine modes

It's the temperature, like in Jeddah. But here we won't be racing and qualifying at night.
