Just saw Horner saying that they want Yuki to improve if he has to keep his seat. So far I see no improvement anyways in him over Lawson as getting 1 point over 0 doesn't help Max in any way. This year more than ever they need a good second driver to back Max up.
Ok if they wanted that they should've got Sainz
True, would have been a very good second driver seeing how he fares next to Alex. Almost no threat to taking points off Max but close enough to cause issues to other teams. Horner and Marko deserve rightful criticism for not choosing Sainz.

It seems they could only do wrong. If they wouldn't have chosen someone from the junior program they would get criticism and if they had chosen someone from another team they'd get criticism too. (Although technically speaking Carlos is from the junior program :) )

And sometimes there were some fireworks between Carlos and his teammate.
I'm not sure if this pairing would have done well.

What if they had signed Sainz, and he had also been 0.5+ second off? At this point I don't find this scenario entirely impossible.

As you can see if you compare Yuki to RB drivers he is either behind them or slighlty ahead of them, but when he was teamates with Hadjar or Liam he was good, so that proves something that RBR car doesn't suit the second driver theory, also if people believe that RB car is better than RBR then why not RedBull switch Max to RB and use that pace instead, because its not as fast simple as that. RBR just suits Max better or either he can extract more from that car or it's built around Max that's it.

Same wing from yesterday. I don't think RBR are fighting for pole today.
