it ruined many race IMO. F1 should get rid if that thing and make another attempt to reduce the influence of the aero.
Indeed, but Monza was the worst of the all. Added nothing, ruined the Slipstreaming idea and threw away the Ultra Low DF idea. I am sure that without DRS teams would actually show up with single plane wings.

Had he kept the inside line he would have kept Vettel behind for both Lesmos
And then used his top end to keep Vettel behind which would not have been able to get past.
:?
A very poor defense by Alonso but yet again a absolutely fantastic start by him.
Not the fact that Vettel and Hamilton got bad starts but just look at the room he had :)

For the whole race?
You do know that there was a 20km/h difference between the Ferrari and RBR?

Notice how hard it was for Hamilton to get past Schumi.
And in the same way Hamilton and Schumacher were just sitting ducks for Button. I think Alonso was watching for his tyres, he couldn't afford to fight back to Vettel too hard since he knew he was going to have hard times on the prime tyres.

WHy wasn't shumacher penalized for moving twice twice?

It seems the FIA just told brawn to let Shumi Give Lewis the position as punishment.

I see that as a bit corrupt. Instead of a 20s penalty, he just gives up a place.
It's been 2 races now 3 offending drivers involved with Hamilton, get no reaction from the stewards or some non existent punishment.

Shumacher clear gave a position back instead of serving a drive through. And this was way after he messed up up Hamilton's race with the double defending.

Somethings not right with these stewards.

Aside from SHu vs Ham, boring race.
Vettel overtake was great, and showed what insane level the redbull is at.

The reason Hamilton was a sitting duck for Button was because Hamilton lost huge amount of times behind Schumi.
Button would have aswell but he actually got past surprisingly quick and stayed there.

Hamilton was past once but Schumi just got past again. Stuff like that takes huge amounts of time.

Straight line speed is about acceleration too. I think whereas everybody's top speed was aero limited, with gearing set to match the aero limit, Vettel was geared short while the drag was low enough for him to go faster. The additional acceleration, getting up to speed faster means that the top speed difference would not be so clear cut.

And I can't stand people saying that anybody would win in the RB7; the package of RB7 + Vettel is dominant at the moment because they work together so well. The same could not be guaranteed of another driver. If it could, then red bull would be scoring a lot more 1-2 finishes.

Never forget that pace comes from the package, the combination of the car and the driver. When the package just works, the result is greater than the sum of the parts.

This is an obvious reaction by Hamilton´s undisputed nr1 fan bar none.

Schumi drove the way Hamilton would have, hard as hell but no accidents.

Yeah I did and I also noticed how button passed both of them so easily....
Generally I don't care about what people say. I have to be clear with myself. When everything goes well, people celebrate you, when you make mistakes people criticize you.

True but Alonso could have easily stuffed Vettel´s try down to the second chicane.
He basically gave the position away.

I think that he would have be able to keep the first place for alot longer if he had gotten out of the Lesmos with Vettel behind.
He would have eventually hit a wall where Alonso would slowly get away on the straight.

Regarding the Red Bull i think anyone with some decent credentials and a year with the car would be able to take the title.
Webber has lost it completely. On tracks he was quick last he gets dominated on this year.

I hope you also noticed just how lucky Button was by getting past.
I hope you also realise Button and Hamilton had the same gearing and wing setup...

Hamilton was held up, Button could catch in and when he finally got past he got lucky and just got past Schumacher instantly.

You can even see Schumacher jumping the WHOLE kerb into Ascari just when Button got past.

That slowed him down considerably. And Button just had DRS before by lapping a backmarker.

Nope.

You are skirting around the issue.

It is factual that he moved twice in two instances.
But what was worse is that the FIA had Brawn signal Shu to give back the position.

You din't hear Brawn hinting at Micheal?
The FIA basically told him to yeild position or get a drive through penalty. But we are making it easy for you, so your race isn't messed up.

This has nothing to do with driving hard. I am taking about the double standards in the sport.

That was in July 2010. (And it comes from "Bild am Sonntag" which is as credible as the "Sun" or "News of the World".)
But even if so: In 2009 Teams bosses vote[d] Vettel best '09 driver.
But what do I know, I just have eyes ...

According to the Speedtv's Bob Varsha the stewards were not requested to by race control. Don't shoot the messenger Ringo. I think this is why F1 is referred to as a circus. Hobbs in particular was very critical of Mike's defense.

I was watchig the BBC feed. I have the luxury to watch both though, though i didn't switch over to SPEED in the commercial breaks.
Now the fact that race control did nothing is also of concern.

What needs to be looked into is why the FIA told BRAWN behind the scenes of an officieal investigation to lose a track position.

A driver only gives track position if he overtakes off track then re enters the track.

Why is the FIA asking SHumacher to lose a position to Hamilton when nothing like that happened?

Why didn't shumacher receive an official investigation and a drive through penalty, for blocking, not once, but twice.

These are my main issues. I couldn't care much about how hard Shumacher wants to drive. These drivers get star struck nowadays whenever they share the same camera with Hamilton, so he can't help feeling racy.
Though we could compare his blocking today with last race with Kob and Lewis.
What was that thing about leaving room?

Anyway, the issue with behind the scenes bandooloo penalties needs to be looked into.
For Sure!!
