You're only required to use two different tyre compounds when the race is dry. If it buckets down hard enough for inters to not be used but soft enough for the race to go ahead, its possible with great care that you could get to the end on wets from start to finish.kenny5 wrote:In the lekely event that we have a wet race,
are we in for a zero stop procession on inters??

Do we still have that rule that FIA tell everyone
what tyre to use??
A lot of unreliability in 1996. Only 4 drivers actually finished the race. Damon Hill was streeting the field until his Renault blew up.superdowg316 wrote:Weather forecasts for the race at the moment are 20C with Thunderstorms...Wait a second;
1996: Third best driver qualifies on pole with the two championship contenders behind him, French driver starting 14th with rain inevitable.
2016: Third best driver qualifies on pole with the two championship contenders behind him, French driver starting 14th with rain inevitable.
Guys, place ya bets on Grosjean, this is gonna be 1996 all over again!

I would also like to blow up your theory that the 3rd best driver qualified on pole. Since when was Michael Schumacher ever the 3rd best driver during his Ferrari years. In 1996 he was the only World Champion on the Grid.
