disappointing race but tyre not lasting long enough, similar to austria, also no top speed. they are just stuck unless huge tyre offset

Terribly run weekend, particularly on Hamilton's side of the garage.

Bad tire deg again. This car's strength is in the high speed regime, but has a bit missing a mechanically/on the chassis side.

I just can't do this with Ferrari.

P2 for the taking, absolute worst case P3 if Max had the pace to overtake (possible but not looking certain).

Team throws all that away for a needless pitstop that yields track position to Antonelli and ends up P5. Ferrari has no real strategy, just going for the aggressive early pitstops at every chance with no consideration how that will work out track.

A podium finish was the minimum acceptable result for Ferrari in this race. A P4-P5 finish, which wasn't worse only because Piastri retired is a very poor result.

They thought that there is a chance of Normal safety car, so they have tried to utilize tyre offset in a restart.
They gambled and they lost

At the moment we are weak in race pace on rear limited tracks. Let’s hope next upgrades will mitigate this issue.

Norris has more chance of finishing ahead of the ferrari drivers than they have challenging for the title...drivers and team are both terrible.

I was calling for those 3 lap old medium tyres for Lewis at the end, the softs were always going to degrade having to fight another car, with the penalty it would not have mattered anyway.

You know where Ferrari lost the plot ?
- starting on S while others around them were on M, and still being P4 and P5 (or P6?) on the first lap
- HAM unable to pass VER with a tyre offset in the first stint.
- Pace on H was slowest of the big four teams

A weekend of overpromise and underdeliver.
Kind of compensates for the past two races (Silverstone, Spa) where it was the other way around.

Probably would have been 4-5 if Piastri didn’t retire, too. The VSC set off the chain of events that led to that final mess.

anyway, its been exciting year in terms of development, and team have stepped up.. they bought updates after updates, trying to innovate, I'm sure all the engineers/mechanics are worked to death.. Wish everyone at Maranello happy holidays , they deserve some nice rest, Forza Ferrari!!

The real issue is the inconsistency pace wise even with the same set. I don't think the others have these issues.
