Again, I thought that Alonso's pole today would be a good reason to bump this thread and give the bashers a place to vent! :D

I've taken to doing it via twitter instead : it seems to be the a far more appropriate medium for pointless statements of vitriol ;)

If he wins tomorrow it'll be 3 wins and one 2nd place from 5 races! Can Alonso really pull this off? He's got the benefit of a subservient team-mate, but no new engines left and Ferrari have had electronic problems all weekend.

I've said this before, but Alonso and Hamilton are the top 2 for this championship, make no mistake.
Webber and Vettel will be pushed aside. Alonso only needs the F10 to feel good with decent pace.

I'm supporting Alonso to challeng at abu dahbi!

yuck, i'd rather red bull win than Alonso. Vettel does have the chance to jump Alonso in the pits if he stays 2nd after the start.

Alonso has done extremely well since this thread was started, so I say, keep it up!

You have to enjoy 23 drivers vs 1 and the 1 getting the better of all them.

I don't care if he wins the title or not, I'm supporting Webber this year because I think he's only got one shot and deserves to bag it.

I'm just happy to see Alonso bouncing back and I'm pretty sure he'll continue this upward trend for some time.

Exactly, I hope he wins it this year.

Did he get a Grand Chelem? He led every lap, right? Either way he's in absolutely incredible form. If lady luck stays on his side and all his engines keep going, he'll take this Championship.

Well, Not-Alonso bagged 76 points today, a lot more than Alonso's measly 25.
