That's my kind of mentality.
Yea no doubt he was a truly special driver, for a swede like myself i´m actually very proud of what he did for our country, we are just 9 million people so per capita we do produce quite a lot of talent.
In comparison there´s like 24 million people in NYC alone.

It´s just that he has that generic Swedish mentality, a bit of a soft ball when things heat up but when it´s time to go fast he was a King.

this soft ball thing is also probably why he got so many friends.
He was probably the easiest guy to get along with back in the day.

Edit: Our Viking days are long gone, back then we would tear up everything, but now we are civilized and if i have to say it myself, probably one of the best countries to live in, in terms of everything.

I'm not so certain about that, being Swedish as a Dalahorse myself and lived in the US and Canada for years,
you wouldn't find a meaner ice-hockey player that Ulf Samuelsson, would you now?

But we better get back on topic before we both get slammed with a ban, I firmly believe that back in the day,
drivers at least ha a lot more fun off track than today?

Finns du i Sverige eller någon annanstans?

Can´t remember the name of that Canadian dude, i think he even played for the Swedish team, either way, that guy was notorious in all of USA and Canada :)

I think the most badass hockey player we had was Forsberg.
He was way smaller then everyone else yet he always seemed to forget that.
(and it bit him in the ass several times as he became a target)

But again, these guys like Forsberg and Samuelsson are out of the norm for the "generic" swede.

Yea sorry mate, easy to get sidelined on this forum :)

Yes ja bor i Göteborg :) Du är i USA eller? kan vara på tiden att du uppdaterar din prfoil med rikaste landet i världen :P

First of all, I still believe that in general terms, the general comeradiere between drivers was way more in place pre the late 80s than now, but there might of course be xeptions even today.

Richest country in the world is quite obviously Norway, thogh one or two members might disagree with that.

And yes, Forsberg really brought much of his injuries to himself and Samuelsson was a thoughbred goon, no doubt about it.

This topic should have a hijack alert now. :-P

Seriously though, you need foils in racing. You had Ronnie Peterson on one side, and you had someone like Gilles Villeneuve on the other. Polar opposites in how they drove, but both very special to watch because of how they approached racing.

I guess it depends on how you count.

Who has the most Fiat Currency? USA i believe. (essentially just paper with a nice color)
Most gold (proper money)? No idea.

Most money per person per capita, probably Norway.
But it´s probably one of the middle-east states.

If we count Gross Domestic Product per Capita in nominal values then Luxemburg wins.
Norway third.

As long as they pay me 60 Euros/h, which I honestly wouldn't pay anyone for what I do, I go along with whatever.

On topic, that's respect, eh?

Hahaha i can respect that ;) Use the system as much as you can because at the end of the day it´s using you until you can´t do --- for it then you get your pension and can piss off.

On topic yea forgot about that... not sure even OP stayed on topic with his own quote in the first post but i guess i´ll stop.

So many times they collided the year before and now it´s all gone, they both live in the same country now as well.

Mark Webber and Fernando are famous for getting along well and racing clean and hard with each other on track but that's the only exception I can think of to Fernando's viewpoint.
