Sato takes Alonso. I've seen it all now. Alonso's worst weekend ever.

What a race!

Lewis did everything right all the way thought. No team orders this week :) well unless alonso was told to drive badly, but seriosly, Alonso really needs to remember that you cant win the race in the first corner.

Nick did well, one hell of a good start and he drove it well the rest of the way. Anybody know whats up with Kubica? i heard on ITV when ron was talking to lewis on the radio that the words kubica and broken then it cut to an advert (stupid itv).

Really happy for Williams, they needed a good weekend.

has the red bull gremlin moved to DC's car?
I believe in the chain of command, Its the chain I use to beat you till you do what i want!!!

ITV is rubbish. We have to sit through Coronation Street instead of press conference.
5Live Sports Extra is also strangely off air.
argh

HAH! Our new post of the day, I think.

Kudos to Super Aguri! That was fun to watch. It was probably one of the cleanest, most non-banzai moves I have ever seen Sato pull off, too.

What a race! My heart almost stopped during the Kubica crash replay, when it wasn't clear if his helmet made contact with the ground or not. For several minutes, I was really worried. In the end it may be harsh, but I dare to say he's happy with a broken leg!

In some way this race reminded me of the Brazilian GP2003, but with the rain replaced by the (silly) safety car rule in the role of the randomization, because, let's be honnest, the result today is quite random, appart for Hamilton & heidfeld, who drove brillantely and deserved their podium.

The new safety car rules s*cks! ok it can put a mid-field car on the podium, but it also spoils totally the initial challenge, faster drivers should win the race, I dislike very much this shuffle of positions.
It destroyed Ferrari's race, and it's now proven that teams don't understand very well what they can do and when. Alonso & Rosberg pitted the same lap the SC was out, I really wonder if there was some clear "pit lane closed" indication or if the FIA looks afterward and if your pit occured while SC on track you get punished.

Also, strange mistake from Massa, deciding to go out on red lights, and Fisi seemed to hesitate (so I think he spotted the red light, while maybe Massa didn't pay attention), but he decided to follow Massa. Wrong decision... Montoya was black-flagged in 2005 for the same reason, there was no way they could escape sanction! At this level of racing this is a bit unprofessional, isn't it?

On a side note it was very nice to see the race on Eurosport instead of TF1! There were no adds cut during the whole time. Eurosport rocks!

Let me analyze race trough key moments...

1. A message to pr!çks at the top of the ia: - Put some old tyre barriers on walls you mΘr°ns!!! You not protecting walls killed Ratzenberger, Senna and today it almost killed Kubica! Leave damn engines, gearboxes and rest of the technology alone and focus on basic safety!!!

2. Congratulations Hamilton! By many counts this is a historical moment.

3. Wurtz - who ever said that fine tuning of winglets, ears and other parasites on f1 bodywork makes all the difference? Wurtz finished on a podium with a half square meter of rear aero missing in a car that suffered impact and had asymmetrical turbulence.

4. Sato - on hard tyres in a year old car overtaking Ralf and Alonso! Simply amazing and no excuses for any of those two! When the going gets tough the tough get going!

5. New safety car rule running race - just as everyone suggested before it was introduced.

If I counted well, Fernando saw the grass of turn one's exterior five times! And on several occasions he was very close to clip the wall in the last chicane. The most obvious exlpaination would be brake problems, with both cited place being heavy braking zone.
But I also feel he hadn't a clear mind, the starting error cost him more concentration than time. Remember in 2005 he lost his cold blood because of Fisi holding him in the first laps, and short afterward made a fatal error. I think it was the same this time, he was bothered by the turning of the events, and maybe overdrove the car a bit, leading to more errors and decreasing confidence...

Huh? Were did you see that?!

So far the podium is Ham, Heid and Wurz isn't it?
