i'm assuming this is an on-going joke by now, due to the reactions you're getting from fellow forumers?

you're fishing talents, to bait others, are impressive!

Ringo, at this stage it probably is coincidence.. BMW-Sauber need the positive results for sponsorship reasons, Ferrari need the positive results to keep the press at bay after early rumours about a B-spec car before the F10 was even unveiled.

Afterall, we're not seeing the Ferrari-powered Toro Rosso up there with them.. in fact quite the opposite..

With the new regs, i doubt we can tell which engines will be most fuel efficient.

I think the Ferrari always has been a reasonable engine for power and driveability, but we won't see the effect of fuel efficiency and the amount of extra fuel some teams will have to carry because of their engines until the actual races. It will probably make a big difference. Certainly, Ferrari had a strikingly more fuel hungry engine last season (it was obvious at Spa) and I doubt whether they have turned that around much this season.

I think Renault will certainly be given a leg-up this season. They don't quite have the power of the Mercedes, but they're not far off, fuel efficiency hasn't come into play much before and last season KERS muddied the waters rather.

Those figures must make depressing reading for the BMW engines guys and gals. They were dragged down by a woeful chassis.
