Unfortunately it looks like it's going to rain tomorrow. Precipitation likelihood has fallen to 35%, but I still think we might get a drizzle at the very least which may take away 2 hours of very representative running at the end of the day tomorrow.
That could well be important. Given the cars behaviour in wet conditions last year, I'm sure they will appreciate the data.

Hmm

Everyone is working through their setups, folks will be bringing parts. Id hold the favourites tag.

Apparently we have had a new floor shipped in. I wasn't expecting that.

upgrades for Mclaren?

Why not ship this along with everything else upfront?

Likely because it is hot off the press.

Question is, is it definitely a new part.

Nah, regular day.

They changed floor during the break so it always means they get to the track a bit later than the session starts. This is exactly the way they went about testing last year.

Not sure about struggling today but seems the rear is a limitation…

“But the most simple way of looking at it, honestly, is we still want to try and focus on some areas… more than others. We’ve struggled a bit more with the rear than we would have liked over yesterday and today. But it’s still early days.”

Norris has faith that McLaren would quickly be able to address the rear weakness with set-up tools if it had to prioritise that - so there was nothing to feel unduly concerned about things right now.

“We’re not looking at absolute outright performance,” he said. “If we went into qualifying now I’m sure we would change some things. But a lot of yesterday and today has been ticking the boxes.

Sounds like the experts are blowing things out of proportion as always.

McLaren sure likes to burn away testing time for no reason at all (if you believe them).

Keeping Lando 1 hour in the garage to then proceed to only set 7 timed laps. On top of that, Oscar was also burning away session time staying in the pits earlier this morning.

I don’t understand why a team would burn away half the test’s time sitting in the pits if there’s nothing going on, so I don’t really believe the them.
