It looks very tight at the top, Lec is still looking to have the advantage but it's not enough to be comfortable by any means.

Some people like us pitted whilst others continued to improve their times as the track evolves. Traffic is also confusing it a bit. On average they look .15 faster in FP3 when times are set at the same point.

I don’t think that’ll happen though I’d love a bottle of whisky! Seems pole is out of range with the way LEC is driving. Imho we are in a fight for 2nd to 5th looking at all the sessions and sector times

Leclerc looks very comfortable at this stage, almost untouchable if he keeps it all clean. Looks close in behind him though.

In most of the laps we were very close, until that one mega lap, and that is worrying.

As things look, it's Leclerc's pole unless he bottles it. Then Max is gonna be up there and McLaren should try and get a car into top 3 because there is a lot of competition behind. That's about the best they can aim for on this track.

Looked like we didn't get a clean lap in, Q1 & 2 is going to claim some big scalps I fear.

I'm not sure if we did or didn't but the way the track was rubbering in you needed to get the clean lap in late.

We look slower, still we aren't quite in Qualy mode but FP3 is far more representative and it is going to be hard to topple him. It'll be interesting to see if that LEC fast lap was fuel/engine/pushing or genuine pace but you'd think it is genuine as no one came close including his team mate. Sometimes though you do just get that lap, like Tsunoda and Hulkenberg do sometimes and getting a quality of lap together that is rare. Let's hope it's rare!

Piastri seems to be continuing his very good pace since the upgrade, if it continues through the weekend then we'll have to start taking it seriously as it may have put him alongside Lando in pace on Saturday and Sunday.

Lando is 0.18-0.19 seconds behind Leclerc in slow corners. Not much to come full circle. The rest of the lag is on straight sections. So far I’m concluding that McLaren still haven’t turned the engine up to full power.

Anything can happen in Qualy but you may have to let this one go :D

I don't think the gap will be as big as it was in FP3 though.
