It sounds like they will be short on parts and if they crash in FP or qualifying, it could be an issue. Perhaps they should have waited until after the summer break to make sure they had enough parts built. Let’s see if they can catch Cadillac this weekend, which is all I think is reasonable to expect, without another 50hp from the Honda motor as yet. After the summer break, with a revised engine and the chassis and aero actually working, they might be able to catch the Haas/Willams cars.

Why? It is not like they throw away potential point because they don't drive the old car. They need every minute of data they can on the new package. Running again with the old car is the most useless thing they could do at this time.
