I think Lando will win this.
He was given the better strategy, still failed.

Note how sombre the pitwall is compared to when Norris wins. It’s cringing just how much the team wants Norris to win.
Yeah it is really weird. They should cherish a driver of Oscar’s level. He is the real deal.

The better strategy?

He was the only one on it! It was a gamble on the mediums not making it, but they did.

Good drive Piastri. Norris, I don’t know what to say. Norris lost his own race by just going too early on the race start. All he had to do was wait till the last corner then push from there. Then his battery wouldn’t have been as dead for the straight.

What’s really bizarre are these weren’t mistakes he was making before last year. I really do have to wonder if the pressure of the championship battle is getting to him.

It’s deeply distressing

Are you blind? Did you miss the high fives and hugs on the pit wall?

Hes won 3 of the last 6, Oscar has 2. If anything hes coming back into it, after a slow start.

This thread slowly from cheerful goes even to conspiracy level. Funny how that works when you’re dominant team. For today Norris failed with his mistakes, pitstop is separate story.

I’m talking about this race. The last race Oscar lost that race by his own mistake, not Norris winning on merit.

Over this season Norris is simply making more mistakes than Oscar. If Oscar wins the championship because of it then he deserves it.

Lando just likes to cheaply throw away strong opportunities.

Driven well this was Landos to lose, even with his poor L1T1 exit.

Hards offered the quickest route to.the end and he should have been in DRS with a lap to spare.

Very good controlled drive by Oscar.

Lando those mistakes were costly - but a doubled edged sword I guess if he wasn't pushing that hard did he cut the gap that much. It is the ever so slight shinc in his armour can be amazingly quick but when he really has to push outride his comfort zones makes some tiny errors that are costly as today showed.

As a Norris fan even I can see that the pitstop was also Norris fault. He missed his marks meaning the front left tyre man had to struggle to get the tyre on as the car wasn’t in the spot it was supposed to stop. Yet another mistake he made this race

He made mistakes out there, I just dont think it was championship pressure. Just think it was his tendency to overdrive when pushing.

I still think Oscar had kept some tyre life, but he should have challenged
