Montmelo has a microclimat. Better listen to local people than meteorologists there. They apparently are far more accurate.

it was immensely boring with respect to now...
wow each single race week end now is so full of drama and tactic moves!
sitting in the pit and waiting for the clock to run is estremely exciting if you put it in the right perspective of all the possible strategies.
a much richer variety with respect to past!
You have to go back to the seventies to find races where tactics were so important and infact in those days you had many different race winners during tha championships.
and you know what? also in those days you had tyre degradation as one of the key feature

And the penalty was absolutely correct. It's not the FIA's fault Macca is a complete sham when it comes to organizational competence. Ham signed on the team, so he is part of the team. You cannot separate them. Win as a team, lose as a team, f up as a team. Don't like it? Sign with another team. Just like Alonso at Ferrari--suck it up when the team is jacked and do your best with how the team behaves. Nobody is forcing Ham to stay at Macca. If I were him I'd be looking elsewhere. Time and experience has shown Macca is a poorly regulated network and has proven they are incompetent. Stay with them, then accept the fact they are going to completely cock up many situations every year.

I think stopping after the race is much different from stopping after qualifying in that after the race, the finish is the finish!

Despite the severity of the penalty for Lewis, Macca deserved some kind of punishment. It's up to their management/pitlane crew not to create situation that can cause FIA to penalise their drivers.
Too bad really, good car, poor race-craft.

The penalty was harsh. It wasn't Lewis's fault. The teams obviously. I mean you can even be a Mclaren hater and think it is harsh. I realize they are repeat offenders but lewis clearly had p1 in the bag. On that note congrats to Williams. I started watching f1 in 1997 or 1998 the first year my cable company had speed in the states and its great to see Maldonado (williams), who catches crazy flack for being a "pay" sponsored driver put it on pole. This season although totally dictated by tires has been extremely suspenseful. Artificial yes, Exciting, yes!

The rule was brought in precisely because Maclaren pulled this stunt before.
