Lewis - “But it’s a huge organisation, and there are a lot of moving parts. And not all of them are firing on all the cylinders that they need to be. That’s ultimately why the team has not had the success that I think it deserves.

“So I feel that it’s my job to challenge absolutely every area, to challenge everybody in the team. Particularly the guys that are at the top who are making the decisions."

i thought that was interesting bit from lewis interview

If he doesn’t close the gap to Charles more consistently and actually beat him on merit more than once every half season, he could include the question of his own hiring with the top management too

Even if he didn't score a single point, his signing made commercial sense when you consider the increase in revenue and stock price as a result of it.

Usually you would see a sector deficit like that and automatically assume it won’t be like that come qually.

But a massive sector 2 gap at spa does happen sometimes.

Is the car really 1 second slower than the McLaren on this track? I hope they are running heavier or detuned.

It’s not 1 second slower but it’s certainly not faster…

I think Oscar's car is running too much downforce. Makes no sense to be 1 sec faster than everyone else in one sector. So I think they will trim some wing. So good news for Ferrari is that gap to McL in S2 should close. I think bad news is that S1 and S3 will open up. We shall see. Ferrari are masters of the Sprint race anyway

I was onboard with Lewis for all of fp, and the car didn't seem balanced. It showed signs of a lot of slow speed understeer (specially turn 1), and then snappy over steer at high speed.

Charles comments of "Extreme settings with the new suspension? We still need to configure the car in a relatively similar way to get the best out of it." with Lewis' no difference in the simulator doesn't inspire the 3-tenths a lap jump I have been willing since China...at least it will be clear by Sunday...until we get Fred discussing optimising new parts and team execution.
Yea, that the drivers seem to have zero confidence in the update is not a good sign. Not even any real hints of positivity. They sound resigned.

I don't think I've ever seen that happen to Hamilton before. :wtf:

Something went wrong there on the rear brakes for the car to spin like that.

Yea that was an odd spin for sure

Ant and Brundle saying it sounded like a technical issue with the car

You need highest f1tv tier (f1tv premium) for more streams, otherwise you get errors.

He just confirmed the rears locked up and it was the first time that's happened(rear lock causing spin) to him in F1.
