The live timing said the final run was on a used set, but I guess this must be incorrect?!
it said 3 lap used but id be surprised if he managed to beat max on used softs

I heard Crofty mention that Charles had a component on his car since Canada or something that Lewis didnt have till Spa, but i didnt hear what it was.

Probably, no one was fast on used tires this weekend.

I can't recall who but one of the commentators said prior to Q3 that a few of the contenders including Charles had two new sets of softs, so it is highly unlikely his second run was on used...

Yep, Lewis has just had this component put on. Not really an excuse but with Lewis he gets comfortable with a car, and then it’s changed, and it’s like two steps back with him.

Was on new.

The car looks a bit stiff to me, lots of bumps in corners in s2, probably where Ferrari can’t use their downforce. The suspension isn’t responsible for this imho, it’s the design philosophy of the floor.

Mega job from Leclerc. That was the kind of lap I normally expect from him. Looking forward to seeing how the race pace is tomorrow, with how different conditions will be across the days it's vital they nailed the set up. Seemed like a good step forward from spring qualifying which is what's important.

If it rains tomorrow. We’re cooked with so little downforce!

Leclerc said they didn't change the level of load much since the sprint and their improvement came from other optimizations

“Ferrari has completely canceled a new floor update that was planned for the Azerbaijan GP and had already been tested through CFD and wind tunnel simulations.”

Found this through the social media feeds. Cannot see it being reported anywhere else so probably baseless, but if true, a bit of a waste of time if that could’ve been utilised for 2026…
AR affirmed again right now that there was an updated floor planned but it has since been canceled. Even though it was already mostly finished.

So it seems legitimate.

wonder why they cancelled a floor upgrade if it was almost done and like AR said it wasnt to do with the budget

If it rains, it is going to be a colossal disaster of epic proportions.

Leclerc did a good lap at least.
