Because of the dual plugs I've seen it listed as an inline 16 cylinder but in fact I belive it is an inline 8 that is two fours mated..It is similar to the 1928 used in the type 35B

Possibly. I don't think I've seen that particular configuration before.. May have and just didn't pick up on it. other than old radials I've not been much into airplane engines.
