They will still be allowed to race if over the MINIMUM weight so what is their problem?
It is no different from a car having a more powerful/efficient engine and starting a race 2ith 2 or 3 KG less fuel in.
Weight is performance (well, lightness :mrgreen: ) so they sacrifice performance for weight ot weight for performance.
Why should Alfa be penalised for hitting the rule and teams with large budgets (even with the cap) can not.
Some cars can be made faster, some can be made lighter. If a team went to F1 and said we can not build a car as fast as them, What would be the reply

This is my problem too - and it's been why weight has gone up on year-on-year - because teams requested it. So the cars got longer and longer with more and more internal ducting but no penalty for it.
