Would not adding some corners or chicanes not solve this problem? The whole ethos these days seems to be reducing the laptime, which also adds to the congestion in qualifying problem.
Is there a genuine reason why this would not work, and improve the show, or am I off target?

Leclerc did his first 2026 sim run and he called it "not enjoyable". Just imagine what he is saying about it behind closed doors. Probably the worst race car he's ever driven.

It probably feels radically different than what he's used to. So quite an oversteer driving style these needs regs maybe won't be the answer because of how much less downforce the cars have, and idk but Verstappen would think the same as well. Too much on the nose leads to immediate rear instability.

So, these regulations are going to again have a preference to a certain style of driving, but this time one that promotes preference towards understeer or heavy rear stability. (Antonelli, Alonso, Hamilton)
