Are there any Fernandos in Australia? I mean, besides the one from the Abba song...

Plenty, Australia (or astraya is you are a Bogan aka red neck)is the most multi-cultrual society on earth - unlike europe where you guy's get shitty if other cultures show up and refuse to "integrate", our culture is a giant mish-mash of UK/US/Euro/Asian/Indian/South American/African/Arabian/Persian cultures and that's the way we like it.

We are the Heinz 57 varieties of World Culture.

PS, it also means the eating out is freaking awesome (went to a superb Indian restaurant last night for the wifes birthday).

I worked with a "Fernando" a few years back, and his nickname was Nando.
It's just a simple way of making a nickname I guess, but he was a great guy and loved it.
