Well said Djos, Australia is the epitome of a great big melting pot :)

I worked with a "Fernando" a few years back, and his nickname was Nando.
It's just a simple way of making a nickname I guess, but he was a great guy and loved it.

Back to the topic at hand,

Vettel = Petal
I've seen that on a few forums :)
