Sure, there are rare corners where baking and turning at the same time are necessary, because the slight slide it generates gets the car into the corner a bit better. That doesn't mean that magically this works for all corners. Your suggestion was that by braking and turning at once hamilton would have not gone straight on... Physics dictates though that he would have, and in a slightly less controlled manor. You go try driving your car somewhere near the limit and then try braking and turning at the same time. If you don't come back and post, we'll assume that you actually didn't realise what happened, and ended up in a ditch because of it.

It was meant to be a joke (I think) but he needs to watch what he says as sometimes thing get taken seriously.

Hamilton has long suffered from foot in mouth disease. His attitude is terrible whenever something doesn't go his way and his arrogance knows no bounds.

Trailbraking works for all corners beelsebob. (where you use the brake obviously)

This is trolling right?

Button lost at Monza because his pit crew was slower than Alonso's, IMO.

He could have put a bit more pressure on Alonso, but there are no easy passes at Monaco even with a second in the bag. What about Mansell Senna, Monaco 1992?

What about Alonso last year?
It is fully possible to overtake, you just have to set it up around one lap earlier.

Ignore him, he's currently doing 200mph in his arm chair.

That included attempts galore, while Button today did NO attempts whatsoever, which is I think what Ringo says.

Button's tyres were fresher and he probably was waiting for both Alonso's and Vettel's rear tyres to be finished while they were dicing it out.

How cute.
I'm sure both Massa and Maldonado went into the race with the one single purpose of getting Hamilton penalised.

Lewis is one of the best drivers currently in F1, but today he had one of his worst races. Happens. The truly great drivers just acknowledge it and move on to the next race..

@andartop,

Look at HAM vs. SCHU first lap loews, than look at HAM vs. MAS later on in the race.

Likewise, look at HAM vs. SCHU at st. devote, than than look at HAM vs. MAL towards the end.

Drivers who know how to race hard and fair vs. the ones who do not.

nuff said.

The Merc chewed its tyres or else Hamilton would not have got past. Same can be said for Rosberg v Massa.

Just accept that Hamilton was a naughty boy today and move on.

S**t happens.

It's true, he tried to play a waiting game that didn't work out for him, particularly with the red flag at the end. Had it run the distance without the red flag, who knows, it may have been different.

I mean Alonso couldn't make it work either could he? He was trying hard without really getting it done.

It's disappointing for Button to lose a place overall and McLaren didn't have their best weekend as a team. I think the default "run the slow tyre last" strategy wasn't the best call today,

I think the best strategy today was "get massively lucky with the safety car".

Yup. Vettle will win this championship early i think.

He has it all:

Quick clean driving.

Fastest car

Lots of luck.

Unless of course he has horrible luck soon and keep blowing engines i just cant see him not walking it.

I would pay good money if they let Hamilton and Alonso have a Redbull each for one weekend and see the action :)

Vettel really is driving immaculate at this time and luck comes to those who work hard.
I feel for Button because the SC came really at the wrong time for him ...No way sVettel would have stood the pressure till the end on those tyres and in the Battle with alonso those two would have ruined their tyres no question and he would have come home first.
Still an entertaining race.

At this rate, Vettel will seal the championship at Monza. Great season this.
