Funny that, rarely seemed to happen for fifteen consecutive seasons and some 250 races between 1992 and 2006?

Confirmed what I said, now I just need to confirm that Mercedes will be the seventh team this year, they will not get any podium and obviously, no victory, and I dare to say that Mercedes will get hurt the image of Michael and his comeback will have been a disaster because of this --- team, Mercedes.
It that Importat to you to be right? -- You must dislike MSC and AMG too much.

Schu is handling the situation very well and that´s telling me he is still positive about the prospects for 2012.

Agreed. Last year when the car wasn't so great he said so and said that the focus was on 2012.
"Since day one in this car, it was very obvious that it is much more to my liking [than the 2011 car]," said Schumacher. "If you look at the steering movements you have to do to get into the corners, they are probably half of what I had to do last year.

"It's definitely much more a racing car, that I can just feel and drive and do what I want to do [with it]. That was clear since the beginning of the winter tests, and all weekend here."
This right here also says a lot. If he is happy with the handling he can race harder. The tyre issues can be sorted out but atleast he isn't struggling with the car.

Ask yourselves this friends, how many cars over the years have consistently qualified very well and not maintained that pace the following day during the race? The answer is none. Schumacher is confident with the car as is the rest of the team, the issue is minor and will be easily sorted.

From what i saw...in last race...

Schumacher not only saved his tires very well but he had better pace trough whole race than Nico...he literally drained every milisecond out of that car.

Im proud of him =D>

In post race inreview Nico said he was very pleased with his pace in last stint on soft tires...

But did anyone told him that in that stint he was behind Michael +0.5 sec average per lap :wtf:

to me the situation is clear:
Schumacher with his aggressive style can now make the tyres work when Nico with his "feel" does interpret the non grip situation as overdriving and just does not get the most out of the tyre..Sop in effect the story of the two lyears gone by is simply the two drivers live on different sides of the margin.
Hard times for Nico...

Perhaps the problem is really what marcush describes, Mercedes have two primadonna drivers who needs to have their car xactly to their liking, none of them is capable of taking a recalcitrant car by the scruff of its neck and just throw it around?

Like that Spanish fella did the other weekend, what's his name again?

This was a quality of Schumacher when he was younger...taking cars and putting them where they shouldn't be..don't know how much of that is left on the old man...but i think any driver spending too many seasons with a very dominant car...makes them worse than they are when they find themselves in less competitive cars...

Yeah I heard Michael was the only one on the planet who could drive his '95 Benetton. That being said, Michael drove the heck out of W02 in the rain last year while Nico struggled with it. Very similar to Alonso and Massa last weekend.

it leaves all in the team in a sorry state.as they did not grasp the fact that Rosberg does not have a special gift exracting things unavailable to others from the tyre But in reality he just is very good at extracting the maximum from a marginal tyre.
Schumacher on the other hand has the ability to explore the outer rim of adhesion no mercy .A tyre which is easily overstressed will simply not talk to him...

Cant believe myself saying this, but Mercedes silver bullet is a qualifying gizmo that has no relevance to its race pace.
I feel there is still alot of mileage in the W03 yet, not least because of the personnel behind it, but also due to the current exhaust situation.

The W03 has a system that is not as aggresive as that of the Sauber or Red bull(perhaps even Mclaren with their exhaust strakes). There is huge amounts to be gained here for Merc and I fully expect to see a similar sytem in place by Europe, if not sooner.

This will go some way to helping the team overcome it's over reliance on tyres.

If we dont see the exhaust change, expect Mercedes to qualify well and fall back in the race.
More could have been done.
