Distortion of truth at it's best. Hamilton was already alongside Maldonado when they had started braking.

Better luck having a dig next time.

Just watched it and I don't see anything wrong. Maldonado takes the regular line into turn 1 and Hamilton makes a desperate lunge up the inside.
*shrugs* I guess you see what you want to see. It didn't look like a lunge to me, the move was made before the braking zone, but as you say Maldonado took the regular line ignoring the fact Hamilton was there.

Of course, if you are a Maldonado fan you will think this is bashing as no one like to hear the truth when it goes against their own beliefs.
I don't mention bashing and being a fan anywhere so your copying of my comment from another thread is inappropriate.

I don't know anything about Maldonado and don't have an opinion on the guy yet. Just stating the facts as I see them and thankfully the race stewards seem to agree, despite handing out another 20 second penalty that has no effect on anything.

"Hamilton makes a desperate lunge up the inside." is not a fact, it's your opinion. I hope you understand the difference there.

No distortion of the truth at all! Seriously, if you don't want to read a view that goes against your own view why visit a discussion thread?

Do you think the FIA just handed out a penalty for this incident for nothing, just to be bloody minded?

No point proved, nice try though.

Strike out "desperate" and it is a fact in my opinion.

I do understand the difference without needing to be patronised thank you.

Massa:
Yes. I think he needs to be penalised again, and in a good way – otherwise he doesn't learn
Well well. Talk about arrogance.

He doesn't learn, eh ?

Sour grapes. Poor bloke's still stuck in Brazil 2008.

I'm glad you now know what it feels like to be patronised, maybe you can stop doing it to other people now huh? There's a good boy.

@andrew,

Hamilton's front wheel is definitely alongside Maldonado's rear as they both start braking.

1- Explain how it's a lunge.

2- Explain how Hamilton can prevent Maldonado from turning onto him. After Lewis' front wheel is past Maldonado's rear, it's all up to Maldonado. He either didn't look into the mirror or plain turned into Lewis.

Can't see where I have patronised anybody ever. If you have a grievance using the PM function is better than going off topic.

Doesn't look that way from the footage I have seen though if there is on-board footage available I may be able to change my opinion.

EDIT: Just to play along, I have looked at this incident on youtube. Hamilton was slightly alongsiode but as Maldondo was ahead, it was his corner. David Coulthard describes it as causing an avoidable accident. Seems fair to me.

WHERE?!

Do you mean on the straight? I think it was just Maldonado going over the bumps on the straight more than deliberately moving more that once/weaving.

Okay that's a fair point, so apply that logic to this:-

+1 - or Vettel in Silverstone 2010 when he drove into the side of, I think, Sutil to force the overtake.
