Isn't the brick yard significantly ahead of the grid?

It's not melbourne, there's no grass.

Beelsebob wins.

I found the picture first and then worked it out from the year (Spykers and the Super Aguris) and then grid order.

Edit - Beeslebob got there first. Anyway I'= was typing this out while he posted his answer, so I posted to save wasted effort. I'll have to write less next time so I'm quicker on the draw!

Easy!

White stripes on tyres can only be 2007 or 2008

Two Etihad cars at the back of the grid can't be Ferrari, so must be when they sponsored Spyker in 2007.

Both Spykers were at the back a 8 times that season.

The next clue is the pair of Honda cars 5and 7 place from last. That only happened at Indianapolis.

Also it looks like the two cars in front of the Spykers are from the same team. That only occurred at Indianapolis as well, they were from Torro Rosso. However there were a few races when there was a Red Bull and Torro Rosso in front of the Spykers, both cars looked very similar. So I wouldn't rely on that as definitive, but it does exclude brighter cars.

So, is it Indianapolis 2007?

ps - It was interesting to skim the results from 2007 and see RB trundling around at the back. In hindsight Newey did have 4 cars on track with the Torro Rosso and RB, so twice as much test data and the opportunity to send out two teams with different set ups for comparison.

Yep, the spykers were what gave it away to me too.

This one should be pretty damn quick:

Spa, 1992?

Mr Schumacher in the number 32 Jordan 191 (possibly the best looking F1 car ever made).

Schumacher's Jordon debut was Spa 91 not 92. Also Patrese was car number 6 and he qualified back in 17th while Schumacher was 7th. Schumacher didn't finsh a lap, so not sure how his number could be next to patrese?

Apart from my typo on Schumi's debut year (oops!) you demonstrate fine F1 knowledge sir! 8)

Who knows? I thought this was guess the circuit, not guess the year.

Possibly 2003, back when he was a 3rd driver for BAR Honda?

Anyway, let's have another track!
