Looks like a red bull walkover currently. Vettel didn't finish his lap when he was 4/10 up on his fastest lap at the time. He did have more kers problems during fp2. Grosejan again looks better than kimi who's having all kinds of problems with oversteer.

It's all about tyres, Red Bull miles ahead so it's OK, v. close behind them. Fast section looks good with changes of direction and positioning, they go off all the time.

The softs are like putty and with the Mercedes not performing well on the medium, it looks like it might be a tough weekend for them.

Kimi struggling big time.
Looks to me that trying to solve the front end problem they made the rear impossible to keep on track.

Mclarens look alright.

Who cares, even if Red Bull can't make the tires last as long as everyone else, they can drive half a second slower to conserve rubber and still be faster than everyone else. Japan showed this to be the case, all Vettel had to do was cruise and he was as fast as Grosjean, then he suddenly made up a four second gap in a few laps because he had tires to spare.

Agreed. The reason why they are burning tyres faster is because they are going so much faster than everyone else trough the corners. Lame attempt by Vettel to conjure up some sort of "challenge" for the weekend...

You can tell interest in this season has dropped quite dramatically.
Threads are quite, web page hits are low and everything f1 is just generally dead.

Maybe they can crown Vettel omce he's bagged pole, then roll out the V6 turbo's for the final rounds? 8)

Flexi wing and flexi floor cheats have been going on in F1 for a long time, but since 2010 it's becoming pretty obvious who does what with high def photos or cars actually racing. FIA needs to step up its game, the rigid tests it does at full stop are not cutting it.

or they could realize they will never be able to outsmart some of the best and brightest engineers in the world and get rid of the stupid tests in the first place.

Second that flynfrog

There is obviously something happening with the RB that complies to regulation but other teams cannot replicate.
But red bull have to be applauded for finding this solution in such tight regulations and tests too.

If red bull are running devious rake in 2014 it's title numder 5 for Vettel.

They also have to be applauded for having the thickest wallet. I think some of their speed comes from being able to spend a lot much more without ever feeling the sting of it. That's my uneducated guess.

Oh I agree, fully and unconditionally.
But nature of the game right?
