No because as it's been said countless times, the running of the old car on new tyres was benificial to McLaren.

More scaremongering.
Finally, everyone knows that Red Bull is a joke and Max Verstappen is overrated.

I don't think Sean is talking of performance there. I think he's talking about reliability.

It seem as though the Ferrari is almost bulletproof at this stage.

Then RedBull, Sauber and Merc have very reliable cars.

The Torro Rosso, Renault and Williams are decent.

Force India and Lotus are just about OK.

Virgin and McLaren are struggling.

Red Bull to me seem like they should be top 2 with Ferrari in terms of reliability, rather than 2nd-4th with Sauber & Merc. But let's move this talk to the testing thread?

All I want to ask is why they change their schedule and let out Thursday and run on Saturday (was it announced on Monday. when did they decide it?) when it is quite sure that there will be the strong chance of rain on Saturday?

Not so smart in my opinion. Couldnt they change their schedule back on Wednesday anymore due to some contract, or what? :?
That's right. Make hay while the sun shines. Simple, simple.
On paper it sounded smart. In reality it was bad. Of course what depressing about this, is that so close to the first race they are still throwing everything at the car to understand it. Whitmarsh said in an interview back in late 09 that the big mistake they made as a team was that they panicked and threw too many ideas at the car and went back down the grid. They obviously want to avoid that this season and wanted to throw allot of ideas in to the last test. I can see the logic of two small tests and a break to maximize new ides. Try everything . Luck was not on there side.

All's well that ends well.

You guys notice that even though it's rumored that Button had the most influence on the design of the '26, Hamilton is the one that shouting from the mountain tops how comfortable it is to drive? LOL

You know, you don't have to go into every thread and sing praises for Hamilton. Where did this rumor come from btw?
