Aston Martin AMR23

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Highest downforce rear wing among all teams (the new drs efficient wing) and two iteration of front wing, miami/baku style and the more loaded brazil style.

They're running the single plane beam wing too.

I'm convinced, It's the tightest one for the coolest races. They use the other one in hotter races. The other mods are just to vary the cooling ...more or less.

Changes to AMR front wing flaps for Abu Dhabi. Unclear if he means adjustments or a new part that they will declare in the documents

I understand that it is a camera on the to monitor the rear wing of the Aston Martin on the track.
This follows the sensor they had mounted to the rear-wing pylon @ Suzuka. They're clearly interested in monitoring something in this region - potentially rear-wing assembly deflection under load?

I'm aware you might have a good source of information for this given your past insights.. and I would agree that the front flaps look unfamiliar to me.

The rear-wing configuration on the other hand seems to be something that has been seen before. Looks like Stroll has his Miami wing without gurney flap and Alonso has his Miami wing

And I am 100% sure, you are talking BS, as usual. RW was used in former races.

Talk from Fabrega could be that they change the top flap of the FW back to pre Vegas spec (top flap was updated there).

He just means they added flaps to the front wing for Abu Dhabis load requirements, Aston Martin often arrives in the paddock with a front wing where the flaps aren’t mounted yet. This FW was already used in Monza and Silverstone

Just remember his "update-list" phantasy post on 25.10.2023. He has no clue regarding AMR.
