There’s been lots of interest in how the speed trap figures are looking in testing. Here’s how the drivers stacked up in the main speed trap, situated just before Turn 1, yesterday:

Nasr (Sauber), 346.1km/h
Magnussen (Renault), 341.7km/h
Hamilton (Mercedes), 338.5km/h
Bottas (Williams), 337.5km/h
Haryanto (Manor), 336.4km/h
Verstappen (Toro Rosso), 334.3km/h
Raikkonen (Ferrari), 332.3km/h
Gutierrez (Haas), 331.2km/h
Hulkenberg (Force India), 331.2km/h
Rosberg (Mercedes), 327.2km/h
Alonso (McLaren), 326.2km/h
Kvyat (Red Bull), 322.3km/h
So Rosberg top speed was almost 20km/h down Sauber..... That surely means Mercedes PU is around 100-150bhp down Ferrari, so we can probably say Ferrari will dominate this season

Or that´s what pre-season numbers say, right?

From Autosport:

Yes it's take whatever you wish for approach, for example one lap under 2 s slower than Merc and 1 s slower than Williams (all ifs) is hooray optimistic for McLaren, weird.

One slightly positive feeling, group behind top 2 might be interesting: Williams, FI, 2xRB maybe McL.

They've just gone quicker than McHonda and Force India I think on the same (soft) tyre.

Speed traps clocked them nicely too. Has the works team cracked the code on the power unit?
I don't know about Force India but Button was on a 10 lap stint when he did his lap, Magnussen was doing a quali simulation I believe.
where did you get info that Button was on a 10 lap stint?

BTW car is broken in the garage at the moment....says Albert Fabrega

I was expecting to see Button doing a great amount of 50 laps but he is in boxes and it seems that they another problem. Anyway I expect 100-110 laps for today.
