Depends what the intrinsic issue relating to wear is.
There is still time to solve the issue, Just depends if the solution to the wear problems blunts performance in other areas.
I wouldn't go so far as to say that. Red Bull dominated outright. Merc still has issues. But its a definate step up from last year.wunderkind wrote:You could have painted the W03 in Red Bull RB7 livery and I would not have noticed its not an Adrian Newey creation.
Thank you messrs Brawn, Bell, Costa, and Willis!!
Great job by Nico of course. He showed his mettle in a tough and challenging race.
Not taking anything out of today's win, China has been one of the best suited circuit for Mercedes over the last 3 years. So bahrain could be the real indication if they have really got the solution for tire wear.Maelstrom wrote:I wouldn't go so far as to say that. Red Bull dominated outright. Merc still has issues. Which might make quite the difference.siskue2005 wrote:Bahrain is kinda similar to China, same kind of corners and same kin of straights (a bit short)...but never the less same downforce levels
only thing different is the temperature

In Bahrain the temps will be almost same frm start to the endMed4224 wrote:I don't think Mercedes would suffer in hot temperatures, since they could cool their tyres in malaysia to the extent of turning them off.
Mercedes issue is not how high or low the temperature is, their issue is the consistency of temperatures.
because their setup window for tyres is so small, the car is very sensitive to temperature changes. If temps are consistent from saturday to sunday, they will do well.
If the change is more than 7-8 degrees, they will fall out of the working window whether to over-heating or cooling.
It is just a sensitive car, that's all..
You should thank Loic Bigois and his guys instead.wunderkind wrote:You could have painted the W03 in Red Bull RB7 livery and I would not have noticed its not an Adrian Newey creation.
