Autosport:
Lots of work going on at McLaren. Around five mechanics working on the car. Doesn't look like Button will be out soon.

We may see a stronger more determined Nico this year, and if Ferrari get on top of their reliability we might actually have a championship on our hands. Slightly ot but when teams see the development and how they've started to close the gap to Mercedes, they'll back off the 2017 changes, or at least scale it back. It doesn't make sense to revamp the rules when you're finally starting to make progress on the regulations. Not to mention it costs much more money to have parallel chassis programs. Developing this and next year's car simultaneously.

In case someone needs live timing, this is by far the best I've found:
http://www.f1today.net/en/live/f1/20927 ... st-2-day-2

it updates instantly highlighting the driver who just completed another lap and shows however is in pits and on how many laps.

The only thing missing is the last/current laptime.

F1 is run by idiots, their idea of cost cutting is to spend exponentially more money devising ways to spend less. If they just stood still and did nothing the law of deminishing returns would do everything for them. Cut cost and close the field.

Given the improvements the teams and engine manufacturers find each year, if we get some decent tyres that can run at lower pressure, they'd probably have been 4 seconds or so quicker in 2017 than they were in 2014 without changing any rules.

Here's a quick question,

Autosport just mentioned Vettel ends a stint (Medium tyre) with some laps in the 1.32's.
They say it would be a concern if he was in part of a race simulation. So maybe he was running with full tanks. They mention Rosberg was on 1 compound lighter (soft) with a lap of 1.28.8 at 2.16pm today. Am I right in that it was the start of his race simulation. At this current time Rosberg has just started his last stint of his race simulation.

What im getting at is, when Rosberg did his 1.28.8 he was on a full tank. As these cars pretty much use a full tank yo run a race ( hence all the fuel saving.)

So im seeing Rosberg 1.28.8 full tank for sure.
Vettel 1.32.? Unknown fuel.

Or am I missing something.

Sebastian Vettel is on a longer run on the medium compound. His lap times: 1:29.9, 1:30.1, 1:30.0, 1:30.1, 1:30.4, 1:30.4, 1:30.2, 1:30.9, 1:30.8 and 1:31.0.
and first stint of Nico was on soft tyres
