Those new engines are really worth a lot. Apparently. It will still be super tight to the finish of the season.

Max is going to get Bottas eventually imo.

Lewis has done well.
Lewis has the pace to win tomorrow if BOT can win the sprint and retain P1 tomorrow.
It does seem possible, and I didn't think I would have been saying that earlier today when he got disqualified to the back.

He's flying!

And Bottas looks like he's hanging on.
A podium is almost certain if nothing happens on the first lap. But he needs to outscore Verstappen, which is still very hard this weekend now..

Hamilton is so fast here I’m not going to discount a podium at least tomorrow
I would put my money on a win for Hamilton actually. Insane speed today.
I already made that bet when he went past Alonso like he wasn't even there. The car was following cars through corners no problem. With Verstappen being stuck behind Bottas he'll be easy pickings.

I actually put a cheeky fiver on Hamilton to win before the sprint

If Lewis can finish ahead of Max tomorrow, I would say the championship is in his hands. The pace advantage at a track that was more of a redbull track would surely mean he can win the last 3, if Max is 2nd, thats 21 points , so if Lewis can keep the total under 21 tomorrow, its still on.

That was incredible, brilliant drive by Lewis. Giving Turkey GP2 vibes with that charge from the back. Great job by Bottas too. Beat Max on a level playing field.

I almost feel like Red Bull is on the back foot tomorrow despite the starting positions.

Someone might wonder, what else is illegal on that car
It's just good aero. Or maybe an extra aggressive battery deployment mode.

Doesn't seem like they have the stratline speed, or the pace differential to get close enough in sector 2 to ensure a main strait drs pass!

Provided that his race pace maintains the same time delta between him and Max, then Lewis wins for sure.

Great work by Hamilton. One of the few great drives in a very mediocre season from Hamilton. That was fantastic. Good job from Bottas. Mercedes obviously have had a faster cars for most races especially decisively fast in races like Monza, Sochi, Turkey & I think we can add Brazil to the Turkey brackett (Saudi will probably be a blowout like Monza/Sochi)

RB thought Softs will fall off & asked Max to wait & not attack which was a bad decision. The softs held off brilliantly & gave extra grip for the 1st few laps. Unless temperature increases, I can see a lot of people starting of the softs including Verstappen, Perez, Leclerc, Norris - The softs just don't fall even after 25 odd laps !

RB needs Perez to overtake Sainz by the 1st 2-3 laps so that he is able to pull a gap before Hamilton charges up the field. Hamilton is @ 10th - Perez can build a 15-20s cushion by the time Lewis comes up instead of getting stuck behind a Ferrari. RB can still get a double podium & a Max win with (say) Hamilton second which will bring Max to almost a 35 points gap. Anything below 4th for Lewis looks tough - Podium & a win is possible given the Mercedes is 2-3 tenths quicker than RB !

I think it's amazing how Hamilton and other top tier athletes manages to stay so focused when there's so much going on around them, really impressive to me!

Seriously impressive drive from Hamilton, Sainz, and Bottas. I’ll be very interested to see if the MCS performance carries over into tomorrow’s conditions, Max might have a fight tomorrow from behind and in front. But he takes 2 pts so he can’t complain.

That race from Hamilton genuinely reminded me of Senna. A lot of people like to compare drivers to Senna but in my opinion, Albon has been the closest to Senna when it comes to overtakes. Too bad he’s far off in the rest of the areas. But Hamilton definitely did Senna’s memory proud carrying his image on his helmet.

Let’s hope for a great race tomorrow and a championship that ain’t over from this turn of events this weekend

Wonder if sprint races negate some of his tyre whispering skills??? Perez can be a bit like Bottas sometimes, absolutely rapid closing up on a car and clear air but hits that dirty air wall and then it's like he's being dragged back. He should have got it done, but I think it will be different in the race and tyre strat is bigger
