No, they aren't natural and understandable. Have you ever heard Lewis complain about people overtaking him? Ever heard Kimi drone on and cry like a child when he's passed? Nope. Vettel is a petulant child who thinks no one should be allowed to challenge him, or get in his way. His ridiculous crying here and Abu Dhabi shows that his sense of entitlement is growing to the level of a spoiled brat. A true champion would keep his mouth shut and pass him back.

But man, Hamilton's pass on Vettel: instant classic! Of course Vettel is pissed. The whole world just saw how Hamilton ripped him a new one.

in the end ham wins because his car is much stronger in the first sector when it matters to keep close for the drs, whereas red bull is strong is second and third sector when it makes no difference.

Hamilton error - cost him 0.3 s.

The idea that Vettel is not a 'true champion' is absurd. And countering with Lewis as a model of behavior, that's laughable.

I didn't say it's perfect or ideal, but fact is, it's understandable.

Which he seems to have immediately made back up.

Have to say though, this track has been quite overtake friendly for non super human driver/car combinations.

+1

I can't stand Vettel. But it is what it is and will not change until he starts getting his butt handed to him out there. Maybe not even then.

No it isn't. He's complained and cried multiple times in multiple races about perfectly legit behavior from other drivers that results in him being passed or put at a disadvantage. He's a whiner.

He's also turned the engine down a little bit I reckon. Just doing enough to manage the lead. Surprised Red Bull haven't called Vettel off - do they need to risk his alternator or collision if he does get alongside? We've seen the red mist descend already with that radio message and now they're going to let him have another go?

His language when he is passed or is overlaping slow cars is his own killer. Cucumber, stupid, bla, bla...
You can shake hand and complain on radio as others do but not insult. That's the difference.

I'm with you. I don't like Vettel much, but these little outbursts are no big deal. Like Alonso shaking his fist at Petrov, things are intense and you vent your frustration.

I have to say, this race turned out a lot better than I expected! Although I hoped for a better result for Alonso.

Hamilton can take .3 s out of Vettel in the first sector. He is still faster and will not give up this advantage to the end of the race.
