Yes precisely. With all the titles floating around it's hard to know (for us - or me at the very least) who does what. I just happen to find it interesting.

I think it might have slipped past the nets, but in a previous post someone (I think JET among others) mentioned that Bigois wanted the W02 to have a longer wheelbase but was overruled. This is certainly news to me. Does anyone have further info on this? I asked google but it didn't know either.

With my previous post in mind, what difference would it make to know the structure? Just a question is all :)

As for the Longer Wheelbase. I referenced Lambeu who joined the site to make the point.
More could have been done.

Something along the lines of this.

Corporate
1.Zetshe
=2.Haug =2.Brawn

Tech:
1.Bell
=2Costa(Mechanical).....=2Willis(Aero)
3.Bigois under Willis as main aerodynamicist.
More could have been done.

You severely underestimate what kind of a detail person I am, my maat. What of:
John Owen, Craig Wilson and Russell Cooley?

Hahaha good shout.....

Edit:
Long old night I had and need some extra strength coffee to keep up!
John Owen...now there is a mysterious figure...not much spoken about him.
Or Wilson for that matter.
More could have been done.

Ah, I found a small hint, from http://www.f1paddocks.com/forums/thread-129.html

Team: John Owen (CD), Loic Bigois (HA), Craig Wilson (Head of Vehicle Eng. & Dynamics), Russell Cooley (CE), Ross Brawn (TP), Nick Fry (CEO), Norbert Haug (VP), Thomas Fuhr (MD), Rob Thomas (COO)

Though this info is 2011 and I suspect pre Bell, Willis and Costa. Looking at that structure, I suspect that:

John Owen works with Bell.
Loic Bigois works with Willis.
Wilson works with Costa.
Damned if I know what Cooley does, though.

I'm getting the impression that many of us on this board is giving too much credit to some individuals and waaay to little to others.

Good heavens man. Searching the names of Wilson, Cooley and Owen on their own website yields no results...

Even Bell, Willis and Costa receives almost nothing (one or two hits).

I think its inappropriate to say that Bigois is under Wills because Bigois is actually the aerodynamics director of the team

From all the material released thus far, it states quite clearly that "Costa would be responsible for design and development, while Willis would head aerodynamics, vehicle dynamics, control systems and simulation functions".

In so much as PR goes, Bigois is below Willis.

I think not even Mercedes employees could get info about the organigram of the MGP structure..
Willis is also at the trackj these days and supported Brawn in front of the FIA hearing...He seems to be less shy than Bell and Bigois methinks.
As for the role of Haug -he is the equivalent of Dr.Marko at RB in my view ..really a faktotum, sporting director ,you name it ...he´s all the time on the phone and writing messages -presumably for board members...so his role is more public relation and corporate lobbying I ´d say..he ´s selling the good that is coming out of all this and blowing the fanfare when Brawn is the principal ...now finally releaved of technical items beyond his capabilities.
Bell would have surely have a look at the ways Mercedes is going about in designing a Grandprix car and contributed when he thought it was necessary.Willis may or may not have come up with one or another idea we now see on the car..he must have had a lot of time after leaving RedBull and HRT could not supply any technical challenge or room to realise even one of his new pet ideas..
Not without reason Newey tried to keep willis away from his Cars at RB -you don´t want a king at your side ...right? I did not work with Head and it did not with willis..

What could Haug possibly be other than that, he's just a journo?

Haug could possibly be responsible for all of Mercedes sporting activities.
Since 1987.
