I'm looking at this and thinking "how in earth is all of this legal?". Not insinuating, I'm sure it
is legal. Really amazed that the frontal bodywork regulations left this much scope open.
Also consider what it took to get this through crash testing. One could say it would have taken the same effort it took mercedes as the bare nose cone is of the same shape. However, there's quite a bit less frontal mass and the regulations do prescribe a specific deacceleration for the first few cm's of the crash structure.
I also kind of disagree it's just a mash up. Technically it's heavily inspired by mercedes, but extremely refined with a much high integration of the nose cone, the wing pylons and the snowplough. It's basically pure turning vane now the moment the airflow hits the nosecone all the way to the bargeboards. However, despite looking so dramatic don't expect huge laptime improvement.
