mercedes have confirmed that they will not be at the 2012 seasons first test at jerez , but will start at the first barcelona test

RB, McLaren and Ferrari have confirmed for jerez , and most other teams are expected there

Webber will be the RB driver for the first 2 days , Vettel the following two

last year's entry fee was €10 / day

Number 2 driver taking the first days makes more sense, they'll get hit with early reliability problems and tedious shake down laps as the mechanics try to get the car working properly.

Then the number 1 driver can do more laps with greater intensity in a car that has been shaken down.

I think Ferrari just alternate. Last year Alonso got to run on the first day. In 2010 it was Massa.
