Force India VJM07 Pre-launch Speculation

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

There does not seem to be much of an under cut ( under SAHARA) the rear wing seems to have 2 inlets in the side panel. cant remember if they were there last year.

There seems to be something above the last A in SAHARA and next to the O in CLARO. it could just be a reflection.

cant really make much else out

Those are just the regular gills by the driver well.

And I see a pretty large undercut at the front of the sidepod.

If you're talking about the secondary intake behind the primary roll hoop, these inlets are often for secondary cooling requirements such as the oil cooler or other items further back in the bodywork.

Ok from the larger Pictures is think now it is a pretty "classic" Penis Nose but the Nose Pylons are angled inwards towards the back so from the Side it looks like a smooth Transition.

Force India have also clarified that the VJM07 will be 'officially presented at next week's Jerez test session'.

Me too thinks the 'upper nose' stops where the parts I painted green starts. So the pylons (white) are attached to the upper nose. And the finger (black) is free... like many of the solutions we discussed here..

2 slots/holes in the rear wing endplate now to "bleed off" turbulent air from the wheels. I guess that with the interaction between diffuser, beam wing and rear wing gone, they can allow more turbulent air inbetween the endplates.

I agree. Scarbs has tweeted how he thinks it looks like. But I do not agree with him. I also think the pylons is attached to the upper nose.

Kind of puts the furore over the 2012 platypus noses into perspective. The finger-tip style nose looks awful!

I think he mislooked himselves on how the pylons bend. Underneath the upper nose they bend inwards, giving an impression they are positioned more inwards altogether.

Yeah the pylons seem to bend inward like the F2012 and F138 pylons... a Venturi?

To me it looks like a "normal" nose. No penis extension and the pylons at the front is extended outwards then tapers inwards the further in you go.
