The cars are going to be way faster than last year across the board. Merc have already done a shakedown day so while all other teams are farting about with system checks etc, MErc are able to get on with it. Others will catch up as test goes on and I think it'll be closer this year than last.

AMuS states the Engine fired up a few Times. I'm not too worried. This is more like an extended Shakedown for Mclaren anyways

Interesting that while before 2014 there were long and pointless tirades about lack of speed of F1 this time when pace is predictably predicted to improve it doesn't generate any noise. No "F1 will be faster by 2 seconds in 2015" threads? "If reality doesn't agree with me, too bad for reality"

Rumours that Lotus was running late with preparations that were later almost confirmed by Lopez (Amus) seem to be correct. Nowhere to be seen. Another rumour (Amus' live timing) car is not in Jerez (I think).

Alonso has done a three lap run, much better than the last test and better than first day of 2014.
