To be fair to Honda looking at Mclaren live, the car has no balance in medium speed corners.
To be fair to mclaren, that could be the super-skinny rear wing their having to run as the engine is seriously under-powered

The upgrade wasn't huge to begin with...only .1 sec, didn't Hasegawa say?
and finishing in 10th place at a power hungry circuit like this was unthinkable few months ago, so it's a bad situation, but not as bad as it seems.
Never Give up.

That's just the problem, there hasn't actually been a huge upgrade. I don't know what makes you think we are finishing the race in 10th in normal conditions if we can't crack the top 10 on a Friday. But you are half right, 10th is a decent result.. if your a HASS or Sauber.

Worst friday this year... very first run of the updated engine 2.5 off.
Fixed this for you

Also, in FP2 when Lewis improved best FP1 time by 8 tenths, Alonso is 1.99 seconds off. Not something to celebrate obviously, but taking into accound how power hungry this track is, and also how long it is, I think under 2 seconds to Mercedes is not bad at all, we all knew Spa would be very difficult for McHonda, didn´t we?

This is why I want McLaren out of this. People become content with mediocrity.

Well all know now for certain that McLaren isn't breaking from Honda. No matter how much you want the world to be flat, wishing it will not change it. It's round get over it and spare the rest of us.

Kvyat, Massa, Gorsjean and Magnussen will all be infront of Mclaren in case of dry Q.

That´s a pretty random choice of drivers

Any reason you think Kvyat will beat them, but Sainz won´t? In FP1 Sainz was 4 tenths faster and in FP2 9 tenths faster ... #-o

Any reason you think both HAAS drivers will beat them when both of them have been slower in both sesions? #-o

Any reason you think no Renault driver will beat them when in FP2 both of them were faster than McHonda drivers? #-o

Any reason you think Massa will beat them when he only did 3 laps in FP1 and none in FP2, while Stroll was 15th and 17th? #-o

One would assume he ment those drivers will also be in front, adding to the drivers that are already in front come qualifying.

Keep real man. It´s not becoming content with mediocrity, it´s keeping real and accepting this season PU is new and will need a lot of work before becoming competitive.

Maybe you can´t remind, but in first three races only one car finished (from the six wich started the race), and it was dead last. Reliability has improved a lot, as well as perfomance. Still a long road ahead, but now there´s some light at the end of the tunnel.

We all would have loved if 2017 PU was rock solid and fast, but once we know that didn´t happen we can keep complaining about something of the past, or we can hope they will solve the problems and become competitive. They´re not competitive yet, but they´re solving their problems.

I personally do prefer to keep positive, if you want to keep complaining about the past you´re free to do it, as I´m free to downvote nosense rants :P

Fair enough. But even so... Perez won´t beat them but Massa will?

On this track in Q. Mclaren is the slowest of midfield and if normal condition will be P15 and P16 in Q.
On tracks like HUN and Singapoure will be fastest of midfield group.

Anything else is fairy tail.
