So on the Autosport Forum there is that rumour that Amazon could be one of the New Team Sponsors. Zak said February for Announcements, the McLaren Documentary on Amazon Prime starts Feb. 9th..... Pure Coincidence?
He also said that one of the sponsors is from the United States.

it has been mentioned various times that Amazon (Prime) surely will be one of the sponsors, as a logical result of losing the previous 'television' promotor simply because they stopped their service and are stepping over into something else, with the end result that F1 will then -logically- appear on another network, which offcourse, will then be open for discussions regarding sponsorship for promotional/exposure goals. In this case, Amazon.

while also sending off 4 Hamilton players to make it more interesting"

Interesting news, if they occupy the same sponsor place as CNN did than I can sleep good knowing the car will not feature all of the colors from the CNBC logo...if not than the only thing which can remedy that is that it will be fast

I don't think Amazon will be one of the major sponsors, only if they are after creating more content for 2018. The deal between Mclaren and Amazon it was to create a serie of behind scenes of 2017 season. I could be wrong but if they weren't on 2017 car when the deal was done what would be different on 2018? If the deal is kind of same creating content from 2018 season? If there is a new deal?

Cnbc will not have any colour over the car. It will be white probably of livery has any colour, because of its mutiple colours, otherwise will not stand out. Only will be in colour if livery is white or black where is displayed

CNBC is probably a small deal, similar to CNN I expect.

Pitpass:

The McLaren Technology Group has announced the creation of a Business Advisory Group

https://www.pitpass.com/60969/Martini-m ... sory-Group

First name on the list of 12, which includes Lord Sebastian Coe, is Jaime Bergel, Chairman at Bacardi-Martini SA.

Other member of the group are Michel Combes (President & CFO, Sprint), Lee Daley (Former CEO, Saatchi & Saatchi), Carl-Peter Forster (Chairman Chemring Plc, Chairman LEVC, Board Member IMI Plc, Volvo Cars Group and Geely Automobile Holdings Group), Jean-Marc Huet (Former Board Member, Formula 1), Blake Irving (Board Director & former CEO, GoDaddy), Rob Kauffman (Chairman, NASCAR Race Team Alliance), Rob Malcolm (Former President, Global Marketing, Sales and Innovation, Diageo), Richard Solomons (Former CEO, InterContinental Hotels Group plc), Greg Spierkel (Former CEO, Ingram Micro) and Keith Weed (Chief Marketing and Communications Officer, Unilever PLC).

If these people have to be paid, McLaren certainly have no shortage of money !!!

Maybe Patron will sponsor the team in the future, as they are now acquired by Bacardi. Hopefully soon.

McLaren is much larger than the Formula One team. Besides their team, they also have their road car division and their applied techologies division which designs and supplies electronics for the automotive industry and racing teams.

Money is not the issue, McLaren certainly has money to spare if they want to keep supporting the F1 team. But just because they have the money it doesn't mean they're fine with the F1 team turning huge losses every year. The team has to be able to survive on its own, otherwise its value to the McLaren Group diminishes, both in financial terms and in brand power. Shareholders are covering the Honda-sized hole in the team's budget for exactly one year, and that's the time Zak has to fill that hole permanently. If that doesn't happen, I can't imagine anyone on McLaren's board being very happy.

Just a little bit of info on how good Vandoorne is, last season Alonso's car was regularly superior (as expected) but it shows that either Vandoorne is a lot better than most give him credit for, or Alonso isn't quite as good as some have you believe.

They had equal cars most of the year and Alonso was still faster. Sometimes Alonso would get an update first if they only had one because he is not a rookie and he’s faster which is completely normal. Just like it would happen in Mercedes with Hamilton and Bottas and Ferrari with Vettel but nice try. :)
