Is this the first time Red Bull/STR have been on the podium at the same time?
Stef wrote:

Yep, and it is the only 2nd podium for STR
And that is because:

....... HONDA, The Power of Dreams!! =D> =D> =D>
With that, arguably, 4th best power unit on the grid.

Indeed, worse than a quite smokey Renault-PU 8)
(I'd like to know the thoughts of RIC and Cyril)

CONGRATULATIONS to HONDA. 1st Max, 3st Daniil, 6st Alex !!

Max already posing with his next teammate.

This is going to be full circle.

Max replacing Kvyat at Red Bull, now together on the podium and probably teammates very soon.
True GOATs don’t need the help of superior material to win.

Tom Brady, Usain Bolt are true GOATs.

Max with his old teammate and his new teammate. :)
Ricciardo didn't trust the Honda engine, Kvyat did and was on the podium today! =D>

Danny Ric is swallowing a big humble pie, but thanks to his move guys like Kvyat and Albon got much deserved opportunity.

He sure is. I think he listened to Alonso in his decision making. It is good to see Honda coming good even if it hurts being a Danny Ric fan.

Illien
This is a meme at this point. He's like the anti-Voldemort. People believe the utterance of his name will conjure race winning engines just like magic! PUs of the current complexity are at minimum a very large team effort, multiplied by natural-selection-via-dyno
He started helping Honda early 2017, since then they have considerably improved their engine and have now won 2 races. He does have a team, he has Ilmor.

Maybe Honda only takes on outside companies/people for specific projects/problems.
So if Illien was taken on only for helping them to solve the spec 3 oscillation problem his job is now done cause Marko said it was taken care of. (Whether it was Illien's idea or Honda that solved it).
And my guess is that Honda has learned enough from AVL so they can do it on their own now like Ferrari.
You're wrong concerning Illien/Ilmor, so is the Autobild story for that matter. They have been working with Honda since early 2017 and still are.

And you obviously have sources that prove that he still collaborates with Honda? Because last I heard, it's been a long time since Honda separated from it.

'that' Illen Who help Renault PU in the past? Come on what can u done with just more than 50 staff in Illen consulting? The 6 stroke engine he developed also flawed, and instead of focusing on combustion, his tools only can develop simple pressurized vessel like 2nd expansion cylinder. He also never mentioned officially by honda, different than IHI, let alone Mahle level. Just enough with his rumor as it sounds taking Credit for what Honda done so far, same as Aston and its a crap!

We'd never know his real value. Fact is he gives his consultancy to manufacturers 'connected' to Red Bull.
And they keep hiring him.

Does he design the engine? No.
Is he a troubleshooter and aid to improve and engine Yes.

But how about the Renault PU? Well the word on the floor is..."Crap in=Crap out" .

Could you tell me your sources @LMVG? Do you have a link where I can read that :
Illien/Ilmor have been working with Honda since early 2017 and still are working together?
Thanks in advance.

Well, for us, IT guy, it called GIGO (Garbage In Garbage Out). Well, too much off topic and back to Honda. Anybody know how is the ERS deployment after spec 3, as the spec 2 we still see clipping?
