Your reply makes absolutely no sense at all. Nobody is thinking for you and nobody is telling you what you can and cannot do.
No that's exactly what you and your ilk are doing.

Those women are now no longer employed in something they enjoyed doing. Don't believe me? Look and the hundreds of comments from actual women doing that job.

Where they asked their opinion? No they weren't. Where they asked if they felt used? No they weren't.
They lost their jobs due to an agenda, nothing more. That agenda refuses to let anyone else have an opinion. If anyone does have differing opinions they are an 'ism of some kind and are shouted down. It also has a lovely line in dictating how companies act due to creating huge amounts of negative press.

Your opinion is.
If we lose fans, tough.
If those women are now out of work, tough.
Because your opinion and your views are so much more important than their opinions and jobs obviously.
Rubbish. I vote using my wallet just like you and everyone else does; only difference is that I am aware of that fact so I make it more deliberate. I will not put my money where a product is sold using female bodies.

People can become unemployed and learn something else. We used to have horse carriage drivers too and they are all out of jobs now. Are you sorry for them? Did you ask them how they feel? Do you want to bring that back?

I don't care what other fans want or if the sport loses or gains fans. I'm speaking my own mind as a fan myself. As a fan, I want to see motor events. I would _love_ to see more women in it. As drivers, mechanics, bosses(!) and the like. Not as play things although I really do not judge women that _do_ want to be models or F1 women. I just don't wish to consume it.
Strange then that you joined this forum in 2014. Where was your moral outrage with regard to your wallet before yesterday?

No horse carriage drivers you say? Yes there are, I can think of plenty of places they are still used.
The difference is that the technology has moved past them in the mainstream.
It's nothing like this. This is due to an agenda and nothing more.

What do they add to F1?
Their primary function is to identify drivers during grid walks so spectators know who is where.

I would probably understand it if they said they stopped them so F1 could save money.

The spectators around the pit straight can read the grid order on the running order board/TV screen. Everyone else either barely sees them or doesn't at all.

Is it really a big loss?

The topic is up for discussion now so I chose to partake in it.

Did you really not understand what I said about the horse carriages?

And about the banning. A tittybar is a tittybar. You go there to see naked women. A motorshow is a motorshow, you go there to see ... half-naked women? Really? Come on, man, you get this.

Go ask them if they feel like an object? Go ask to 3 girls that are friend of mine if they feel like an object when they make events like the grid girls do. They are not naked... the problem is in your head trying to compare the the grid girls to escort girls.

So could I. Viewing it as an outdated practice is legitimate too though. If they weren't introduced to attract men to the Sport then I'm struggling to understand why they were there in the first place. And if that was the aim then I understand wanting to broaden that appeal.

Please, someone say it's so people in the crowd can know which car is which. They hold their boards facing towards the start line. Hardly anyone can see what's on the boards as they're viewed from the side. We all understand which car is which on the grid and the teams know where their cars line up.

Hurril, your condescending tone and sense of moral superiority is exactly why it's impossible to have an honest discussion about this kind of stuff with you people.

"With you people." Yeah. I'm the one with the condescending tone. Exactly what kind of people is that? Honest discussion?

I'll gladly talk about this in private (really!) if you want to as this is both very interesting and highly relevant. But take a look at the tone of voice that everyone else here is using.

Yes, santos. I think women have a function other than being an object of desire...

Yes if you want to describe it as a job.
