McLaren MCL33

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

Engine cover looks the same. Let's wait for pitstop practice. A new front wing is probably expected the most.

Don't worry. Didn't read the pit stop part. I was asking about the front wing but I guess tomorrow we will know

New "existing" or new "new"?

I don't think they change monocoque mid-season.

Ted Kravitz mentioned in his Notebook after qualifying in Germany that Vandoorne has struggled with the car ever since McLaren “changed his car” inbetween P2 and P3 in Silverstone; would this point to a chassis change rather than just set-up changes? Perhaps a tub with a small manufacturing defect or something which affects handling and therefore needed another change for Hungary?

I think that they changed stoffle's setup to one that Fernando used, but it didn't work out and somehow they could revert all the changes
