S-curves & Degner 1 is ridiculous, and Red Bull didn't even score the best S1 in FP2.
yeah degner 1 is bonkers. remember that alonso lap from 2017 when he did 250 at the apex? Now it's 262 kmh, in fp2.
262 for Verstappen, for Hamilton it was only 249 :D

The two degners are tricky corners, whatever you gain on the first part you lose on braking for the second. It's almost as if you have to treat it as one long corner than 2 discrete ones.

Is there an 18 feet tall Gasly banner in a skip somewhere? :D

I’m sure RBR - Honda weren’t expecting to be 8 tenths from pole... But, what a Qualy by Albon! Matching Verstappen’s time is simply great for the rookie.

Well well. Middle of nowhere now. Closer to Mclaren than the top2. Ominous for next year. The chassis is an absolute diva with pointless downforce unable to take it faster in slower corners. They lost massively in S2 to Ferrari and S3 was meh as well.
Race pace of Mclaren might be quicker. Damm all that engine stockpile and you get this. What a mess.
Congrats to Alex for matching Maxs lap at the end. Clearly he is 2 tenths faster than Lewis and Leclrec as well 👍👍😜😜

Redbull are at Ferrari level chassis wise that 0.781 is pure power Ferrari are doing something doggy. Mercedes and Honda are matched for power but merc chassis is 0.5 better than Redbull.its good that Alex can match Max his head was getting too big for himself i quess they have similar complementary driven styles because Alex wasn't really better than kyvat but Gasly is making a mincemeat of him .

Nope. Both Ferrari and Mercedes are better. S3 is only 17 seconds with 2 slow corners and they were slower than Mclaren. The car hates riding curves and both Alex and Max didnt improve on final sector.
Before Alex was promoted he was outqualifying Kvyat consecutively. The Redbull chassis dare i say in these windy conditions is similar to Mclaren. I think Sainz could get them in race.

Ofcourse not, Max was using more wing, as you could already see on the pictures of the RB15 here on thursday. For the race this will be good, for qualy not so much.

Just baffled by how the mighty Redbull chassis is doing same S3 times as the Toro Rosso. Just poor at riding those kerbs. Merc and ferrrai gained 3 tenths on two corners. Dammm.

Rbr chassis is not mighty but I sure some people will find ways to put the blame on Honda including Redbull Max complaining about no power

Rbr chassis needs to be stiff to make the aero to work that why they are poor at riding kerb but when they did poorly in Singapore Marko concocted a story about getting damper setting wrong on simulators personally I think they are focusing on next year they have not brought upgrades lately. The front wing they brought was a lemon maybe they should try a cape it transformed the front end of Ferrari car

Not good qualifying.
I think MAX must made some mistake in S2 so his S2 time was slowest in top6 and 0.428s alway from VET.
But RBR was really poor in S3 as they did the same time as Toro Rosso and Mclaren, not much difference to Alfa Romeo and Renault too.
