This tweet is from the CEO of Sprint telecommunications company. Are Sprint already sponsoring McLaren or is this a hint of an upcoming sponsorship deal?
He's part of the McLaren Business Advisory Group.
He should put his money where his mouth is and bring out the cheque book, not just advice.
He should not celebrate podiums and victories, when the car hasnt jet drove a meter under its own power....why is it so hard to be humble and celebrate deserved reults if or when they happen?
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

I cant seem to find any OnePlus branding on the car. Will they add it later, or its not going to be presented on the car?
It's already on the car in the black section where the sidepods meet the floor.

It seems their involvement is more off-track than a typical sponsorship, using the McLaren name on their phones rather than using the car as a billboard. Same way that Vive is linked to project shadow rather than having prominent logos on the car.

Coca-Cola's loss if you ask me, this car will be in the mix getting plenty of air time.
Even as the big McLaren fan I am, I fail to see how this Coca-Cola’s loss? They’re a brand which is associated with the FIFA world cups which have greater exposure than F1, not to mention the fact Coca-Cola sells itself .....
I drink way more red bull(once every other week) than I do coke(never).

It seems like Coca cola wont be sponsoring the team. They're logo is gone from the list of Mclaren partners.
Beat me to the punch on that one. Seems odd they’ve only been removed today yet other sponsors lost were removed at the turn of the year! Perhaps they were interested in continuing the sponsorship however things turned the other direction
I am thinking maybe Mclaren already knew that Coca cola wouldnt come on board, thats why they chased BAT money. Just a thought.

I came across this piece about Petrobras to terminate its deal with Mclaren:

I dunno if this is credible. Maybe some of you guys could pitch in. And what's your take with this development?

There are contracts in place, they have to pay either way. I personally expect that the technical deal could be cancelled, which is a good thing, because it will mean that McLaren will use the same lubricants as Renault.

Well I just hope Mclaren could sort everything out performance wise. Losing not only Coca cola but also Petrobras (whatever small/big monetary value they bring) is not good for Mclaren's image.

losing Petrobras has nothing to do with McLaren though and everything to do with Brazil's issues.

That article came out before Zac said their partnership is going from strength to strength. Petrobras would have to pay a penalty to get out of their contract I would guess

Personally I'm in favor of BP / Castrol as it's developed with & for the Renault PU...

The money Petrobras would pay can be replaced next year with another sponsor...

Seems like BAT might be be a lot of money as they are all over the car...

I didn't expect Huski on the RW as well. Seems like a double digit deal.
