I am actually a little worried about Sainz. He has the new suspension and he hasn't been quicker than Norris this weekend. Anyone knows if he is in a different programme?
He has problems maybe engine software or some thing else

On the hard tyres too, very impressive.

He's on a different programme, going around on the softs right now. Is it still only Sainz with the new suspension?

I am positive it is only Sainz with the new suspension. I had a quick look when the cars were on coverage, and I only spotted that "lump" on Sainz's car.

yes only sainz. Norris, in his last lap, was 0.184 after s2 and at the last sector lost another second.

McLaren brought a new floor and front wing here as well aimed to improve low/medium speed corner performance according to Jenny Gow BBC F1.

Only hards and mediums work well this track temperature. all front runners are on hard/med. As far as it concerns Sainz, these things take tike. They need to see how it works on the track and understand it. The same goes for all updates.

Just saw this at the practice feed that McLaren provides :

"Carlos comes back to the garage, run complete. His crew start into a set-up change. It could be a while before Carlos goes out again. Meanwhile Lando improves to 1:32.815. He's P3."

This is right after he went to box at the start of FP2. I wonder what set-up change means in this case. Will they actually swap the suspension? Maybe it is not working as they hoped it would. I hope not though, any update that doesn't deliver is resources gone to waste, so I hope that is not the case.

They just notice that Norris setup is the right 1 so they just setup Sainz car identical to the sister car
