McLaren MCL34

A place to discuss the characteristics of the cars in Formula One, both current as well as historical. Laptimes, driver worshipping and team chatter do not belong here.

What is this?
A catalogue of the type of upgrades introduced through out the first half of the season.
Okay a bit clearer, and what about the numbers and symbols in the squares?

They changed the color of the sides of the rear wing (and end of the engine cover) into black. Not sure what could be the reason for that, Estrella Galicia is still on that wing.

Wings became black, above the side pontoons.

McLaren has revised the livery on its MCL34 for the remaining races of the 2019 F1 season.

The team has revealed a modified “stealth” look for its car following the resumption of racing after the summer break. The orange and blue coloured areas of the car have been reduced in favour of more black, notably on the front wing, rear wing endplates and sidepod vanes.

well, im not completely sure but, the last time they posted pics like this, was when they announced a new sponsor, and coincidently, the pics used was based on brand new 3d renderings showing the complete upgrade package for spain with new frontwing and everything. I spotted that  Looking at this picture, if its equally accurate, which im not sure since its not featuring the latest bargeboard update, nevertheless! according to this picture, the fw cape is considerably closer to the undernose bargeboards, but maybe the pic is just misleading. But ill keep an eye on

To me it looks like there is something new behind the boomerang, but we will have to wait for real pictures of the car to confirm. Looks like a short winglet like the one Ferrari added in Hungary. It could be nothing though, the angle of the image doesn't reveal much.

Making its debut in Spa, the MCL34 will adopt a new stealth livery. The small restyle has been made for both performance and aesthetic purposes, as we continue to push as hard as we can until the end of the season.
