I doubt Alonso would want to go to RB
OKay. I think Vettel and Max swap space with Austin Martin Stroll team in 2022 as Vettel signed one + one
I still call doubt on that. But who knows. But I’m gonna say really unlikely

One thing is clear though. 2020 is the craziest year in ages.

Of course. But it makes no sense for Vettel to have signed a 1+1. 2+1 is still far more likely. A 1 year deal tells him nothing given that 2022 is a major reset. with a 2+1 he would get the knowledge of how competitive the Aston will be in the new age, and how he likes that formula.

WTF Honda just bails?!!!! i am completely in shock
It's completely changes everything for Max. Who can create a lot of change himself with all his talent'. But not this year next year's silly season basically starting now. Max will shape up The grid maybe if Max is available next year a lot of drivers with ending contracts are going to be in danger. Because Max still has Honda next year so that gives him another year with still a chance to chase Mercedes and just makes him a stronger candidate for who ever might have a strong seat in 2022'. Vettel could see himself out of a seat next year for Max if they are competitive'. Or McLaren with Mercedes or even Bottas out of a seat. Or Hamilton retiring next year is looking better for Max it isn't a bad thing. If Redbull can secure a good engine then he can simply stay or leave to the faster bidder...

isn't that just what he currently earns? 40M/a?

I think the biggest point of interest rn would be, does Honda’s exit (and RedBull’s resulting changes in partnership) trigger anything in Max’s contract? Or could it, perhaps? Eg. If their next engine is poopoo.

The next thing is, amidst all these Ineos rumors buying out Merc AMG F1, how does that affect Hamilton? I’m not familiar with Ineos’s businesses or business model, but I have read their line of work clashes against Hamilton’s eco-socialist agendas of late.

Yeah we were bound to have crazy year'. It's probably the reason Honda doesn't have the funds to continue their F1 dreams'.

Amazing bad luck if that's the case, the economic crisis caused Honda's departure, and now the Corona crisis (which has an economic impact obviously too).

Although it probably plays a role, I do believe them that the main reason was that of too little value for money regardless of corona. For name-exposure, there are much cheaper championships (indycar), and for tech development, F1 is irrelevant. No wonder that all engine manufacturers that remain are those with an active team, hence are not solely in it for the engine.

That Aston Martin deal Mr.Vettel has signed is looking quite a master stroke.

Perhaps with Redbull's great chassis wasted by a Renault engine'. Then yes Aston would be the only one fighting Mercedes...

But!!!

Maybe 😂 Redbull buys the Mercedes engine on a Tag Heuer rebrand deal. =D> :wtf:

It wouldn't technically be not a Mercedes engine... :D :D :D :)

If Redbull manage to put a merc engine on their car then there will be real equal championship battle on the card.
Max best bet to be champions in 2021.
