No i agree if your given qualifiers are met. I’m just saying we don’t know at what level he will perform in the Ferrari environment — hence it’s too far a guess at the current time, imo

Hmm. I think there are some indications that he is a reslilient sort of character. He faught his way into the TR seat after facing rejection and wen in there to stand up against Max. He then took the brave step to leave to Renault against Nico. Then he went again to Mclaren on Alonso's recomendation and stood strongly as team leader there. I think he has what takes. If he crumbles under Charles I will be the first to be surprised. Haha.

*fought — but my point is, you’re jumping way ahead on conclusions. What’s to say Sainz even wants to stay beyond his current deal?

That would be great fun to watch, particularly in Hungary...

And don't forget the 2047 lineup:
1. Alonso
2. Jos Verstappen Jr.

Probably followed in 2053 by
1. Alonso
2. Myke Schumacher.

Or maybe Alonso just gets too old?

...but you forget the funny thing, in 2053 Kimi still in the Sauber seat (no more Alfa...as they went bankrupt at the end of 2021).

So essentially the Schumacher's legacy continues in F1. =D> If Mercedes continues to make F1 as boring as it is, the only talking point then would be the debates on these names, as it is now.

Leclerc has a 2023 contract — and given how much interest they’ve vested in him idk if they’d give him up. Anyway this assumes would either of them want to go to Ferrari?

Given Renault’s current state I doubt Alonso wants to lol.

Mick is yet to prove he can cut it in F1 too. How many times have others done well jn lower formulae to struggle in F1?

Leclerc will be in that seat for as long as he wants, unless someone even better comes along. He had a fantastic season and looks capable of winning a title with a car good enough. He only leaves (probably his decision) if Ferrari continues to woefully underperform, but even with the team in its current state it’s still one of the most coveted seats to be in. He’s just got to not throw the team under the bus.

Much as I like him, Alonso is never going to sniff the seat of a Ferrari, RB or a Mercedes.

The ‘big three’ teams are set long term with LeClerc, Russell and Verstappen.

Yeah Mercedes will need to bring in George soon. Specially the better Perez does it will force George to be moved up.

Because Bottas shouldn't be coming in 3rd he should be coming in 2nd. Just like Albon was supposed to be in 4th place.

Bottas did come second.
