Except, maybe, Vettel's first victory in a Toro Rosso.

11 wins, 54 podiums and 1367 points in Ferrari...

IF Sainz leave, have you a name that will be better? Hulkenberg? Ric? I really what a veteran driver side by side with Norris if Sainz leave.... Norris will probably leave us in 2-3 years as well...

i never liked hib simply because of 2 thing. he never drove for McLaren and because of his finger. However if we lose Sainz (still the one i would prefer long term) he is a fantastic alternative. He has a calm to him and i think that in ferrari its too italian for him to thrive.

Contract

With Seb it had been freezing for some time, the discussions for the renewal of the contract had led to nothing. Distance on the numbers, on the duration (he wanted an agreement at least two years), Sebastian looked around. He went knocking on McLaren's door where team principal Andreas Seidl with whom he started racing in Formula 1. But the English team is running out of money and it seems that in the meantime a proposal has also arrived in Seb from Renault where Ricciardo paws to leave.

Divorce in the air

Ferrari has never been in a hurry to lead the game with Sebastian, has decided to focus on the future on Charles Leclerc and intends to build the team around him. Of the names in circulation, that of Carlos Sainz is judged to be the most suitable profile: 25 years old, expert and good in development, he could be an excellent partner of the Monegasque. He has grown a lot in the last championship with McLaren. And economically it doesn't cost much, because money also influenced Sebastian's failure to reconfirm. There would also be Ricciardo among the eligible candidates, a great driver, but it seems that he can move to McLaren if Sainz goes away.

Amen...

Vettel is only good when the car suits his driving style And he simply can't handle stress...

Okey, then Hamilton would not be an option for you?

if we lose Sainz then its a simple matter of convincing Vettel to take the vacant McLaren seat. Vettel knows that McLaren wont give him a 40 mill salary they just have to convince him that McLaren is a project that can deliver. If they convince him that he will win again with McLaren he will take a small salary

There is an article in THE RACE that he is very fond of F1's history so he probably considers McLaren a great name in the sport (https://the-race.com/formula-1/what-f1- ... ompletely/)

Why would McLaren want Vettel? With Merc engines coming in they should have an eye on Russell if anyone if Sainz departs. Russell in a horrible Williams crashes less than Vettel in the 2nd best car on the grid. Russell and a discount on Merc engines is a better deal than Vettel on $5M+.
